Head of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Unit
The ICT Unit is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining all information and communication technology systems and services within the institution. It ensures that the technological infrastructure supports the institution’s academic, administrative, and research activities effectively and securely.
Key functions of the ICT Unit include:
Ø Managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, and user workstations.
Ø Providing technical support and troubleshooting services to staff, students, and other stakeholders.
Ø Developing and maintaining institutional software systems, such as student information systems, e-learning platforms, and financial management systems.
Ø Ensuring cybersecurity and data protection, safeguarding sensitive institutional data against threats and unauthorized access.
Ø Facilitating communication services, including institutional email, internet access, and digital collaboration tools.
Ø Supporting teaching and learning technologies, such as online learning platforms, computer labs, and digital classrooms.
Advising management on ICT policy development and strategic planning, aligning technological solutions with institutional goals
