MOS
intends to produce professional official statisticians who are able to apply
statistical skills and knowledge in a broad range of complex managerial and
statistical activities. Also, official statisticians shall analyse development
policies and practices, as well as developing a high degree of personal and
social responsibility.
Duration: 18 months. Maximum registration
period for master’s programmes as per section 4.2.11 in table 2 of the EASTC
Examinations Regulations of 2021 is four years. Failure to complete studies
within four years will lead to discontinuation from studies.
Delivery: Trainings for MOS are
conducted at the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre in Dar es Salaam.
MSC. AS
intends to produce competent, responsible and innovative
strategic agricultural statistical professionals and managers who will work at
senior levels as agricultural statisticians, managers, and administrators of
Agricultural Statistical Systems, sub-systems, schemes and programmes designed
to respond to the statistical demands of African nations in the sub-region of
SADC and other nations as well.
Duration
and credits: 24
months, coursework with 193 credits out of 120 minimum credits and 60 credits
for dissertation.
