Academics Unit

The Academics Unit is the central pillar responsible for managing and coordinating all academic activities at EASTC. It ensures the delivery of high-quality training and education programs that align with regional and international standards in statistics and related fields.

This unit comprises the following sections:

Official Statistics Section
Focuses on equipping students with practical and theoretical skills in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of official statistics, supporting evidence-based policy and decision-making across the region.

Data Science and ICT Section
Provides comprehensive training in data analytics, data management, machine learning, and modern ICT applications. The section emphasizes the use of advanced technology and analytical tools to solve real-world data challenges.

Agricultural and Business Statistics Section
Specializes in statistical methods relevant to agriculture, agribusiness, and business analysis. It empowers students to provide critical data-driven insights to support agricultural development, business strategy, and trade policy.

Graduate Studies Section
Oversees all postgraduate programs, including Master's degrees and postgraduate diplomas. This section fosters advanced statistical expertise, research capacity, and leadership skills among graduates from the region.
