The Quality Assurance unit of the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC) among others, is mandated with the role of assuring quality standards as prescribed by governing bodies to ensure that EASTC meets the objectives for which it was established.

Among others, the objective of the Quality Assurance Unit is to:          

·         To provide guidance in development and implementation of internal and external quality assurance procedures and practices.

·         To ensure that the quality of academic and supporting programs (non-academic) at EASTC meet standards expected by stakeholders.

·         To ensure that graduates have attained skills, knowledge, values and competence through EASTC academic programs stakeholders value that.

·         To enable EASTC to assure itself, its stakeholders and the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) that the Centre’s policies, systems and processes for the development, maintenance and enhancement of quality in all its educational and professional training and non-academic service delivery provisions are functioning effectively; 

The unit is currently operating to assure quality in areas of:
